Tháng 8, tình hình sản xuất và kinh doanh của ngành sản xuất phân bón biến động không nhiều do vụ lúa hè thu ở vùng Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long đang thu hoạch và nhu cầu sử dụng phân bón trong vụ thu đông chưa đáng kể. Song, theo Bộ Công Thương, các doanh nghiệp trong ngành vẫn cố gắng duy trì ổn định sản xuất.

So với tháng 7, sản lượng phân NPK tháng 8 ước đạt 203.100 tấn, giảm 2,0%; phân DAP ước đạt 16.000 tấn, giảm 31,3% (do dây chuyền sản xuất trục trặc làm giảm mạnh công suất); phân urê ước đạt 168.300 tấn, tăng 2,2%.

Tính chung 8 tháng so với cùng kỳ, phân NPK ước đạt trên 1,6 triệu tấn, giảm 1,6%; phân DAP ước đạt 166,0 nghìn tấn, giảm 7,2%; riêng sản lượng phân urê ước đạt gần 1,4 triệu tấn, tăng 36,8%.

Dự báo, lượng tiêu thụ phân bón tháng 9 vẫn chậm do các tỉnh miền Đông đã  qua thời kỳ chăm sóc cho các loại cây công nghiệp.
