At the meeting, SOCO International reported on the results of cooperation with PVN to Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, especially in terms of implementing the MoU on cooperating in oil and gas exploration and exploitation offshore of Vietnam, signed in July 2015.

The Minister congratulated the recent successes of both parties in oil and gas sectors. The Minister also hailed that SOCO International is a credible partner with not only the engineering and technological expertise but also the financial accountability and transparency. With these advantages, SOCO International can firmly extend its business and cooperation with local partners in Vietnam as well as to become one of the bright spots in the economic partnership between Vietnam and UK.

SOCO International should continue its joint efforts and discussions with PVN to overcome current obstacles, in compliance with the current laws and regulations of Vietnam.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) will have guidance and close supervision for PVN’s international cooperating activities in oil and gas exploration and exploitation with SOCO International.
