Previous research in international human resource management has largely overlooked the critical roles of leadership and organizational culture in driving superior performance. This paper conducts a narrative literature review to integrate insights from leadership and high-performance research into the international human resource management discourse. Based on this analysis, the paper identifies three key avenues for future research that can enhance theoretical development and practical applications in the field.
