According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (Vicofa), the association was sanctioned to organize this event by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phucon July 29. The PM asked the association to organise the Day economically and in line with regulations.
The Vietnam Coffee Day will mark the 55th anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the Dong Hieu coffee plantation in Nghe An province on December 10, 1961, as well as promote coffee brands, the association said.
The day will include exhibitions introducing high-quality coffee products from across the country, awards for high-quality products and help for customers to understand coffee’s impact on health and the production of coffee.
