According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the US, China, and Japan were the biggest importers of Vietnamese wood and wooden products.

In the period, markets posting high growth rates included the US (18.8 percent), Canada (15.1 percent), the Republic of Korea (11.1 percent) and China (9.1 percent).

Experts said that the goal of 8 billion USD in wood exports this year is feasible as the main season for wood exports is the last three months of the year.

Vietnam imports a large amount of wood materials worth 1.7-1.8 billion USD annually, equivalent to about 20-30 percent of export turnover.
