According to, General Manager of Abbott’s pharmaceuticals business Ngo Van Huy, this acquisition will further strengthen Abbott’s ability to serve patients in Vietnam with innovative, high-quality healthcare solutions that allow them to live a healthier life and reach their full potential. He also noted that this acquisition ensure long-term growth of Abbott in Vietnam.
Abbott did not disclose the financial details of the deal. The acquisition makes Abbott one of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies in Vietnam.
The expansion of Abbott’s drug business in Vietnam builds on its leading position in nutrition and a strong portfolio in medical devices and diagnostics.
