French company looks for investment opportunities in HCM City’s infrastructure

A French-based company has expressed its interesting in investing in infrastructure development of Ho Chi Minh City, especially in building metros and flooding prevention works as well as turning wast

French-based VINCI Construction Chairman Jerome Stubler proposed the company’s intention to Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong at a meeting in Ho Chi Minh City on October 5.

The Chairman of VINCI Construction also said that the company is interested in housing development and the construction of high-rises. VINCI Construction has operated in Vietnam for more than 20 years. In 2014, it signed a two-year contract with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology on a training program in advanced technologies in civil engineering

On his part, the Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City welcomes VINCI Construction’s investment in these sectors, adding that local authorities will create the best possible conditions for the group as well as other French investors.
