Japanese firms look for Vietnamese partners in seafood and food industries

Two business matching conferences will be held in Hanoi on August 30 and in Ho Chi Minh City on September 1 to help Japanese firms find Vietnamese partner in seafood and food industries.

These two conferences, organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Vietnam, will attend thirty Japanese firms. Vietnam has become a promising market for Japanese food products and the Japanese firms come to the forthcoming events to seek new trade partners, the JETRO said.

The number of Japanese restaurants in Hanoi and HCM City would increase in the time to come, and this could lead to rising consumption demand for food products, according to JETRO.

In 2015, Vietnam ranked seventh among leading importers of Japanese agricultural, seafood and food products in term of turnover.
