This information was released at a press conference to introduce the event in Ho Chi Minh City on December 20. The next year event will be jointly organised by the Vietnam Rubber Association (VRA), Ho Chi Minh City Rubber Plastic Manufacturers Association and Minh Vi Exhibition & Advertisement Service Co., Ltd (VEAS).
Speaking at the conference, VRA Vice Chairman Vo Hoang An who is also Secretary General of the association said the expo aims to support rubber businesses to seek cooperation and investment opportunities as well as expand export markets.
The expo is expected to create a platform to display various rubber and tyre products, equipment and technologies. The expo also contains thematic workshops related to rubber and tyre industries. A highlight of next year’s expo is the establishment of the rubber sourcing fair between Vietnamese rubber and tyre manufacturers and foreign purchasers.
The event is expected to welcome more than 80 businesses and around 2,000 visitors. The expo will take place in conjunction with the Paper Vietnam 2017 and Coatings Expo Vietnam 2017.
In 2015, Vietnam exported rubber and tyre products worth 1.42 billion USD and 523 million USD respectively.
