Vietnam Delegation led by Deputy Minister Tran Tuan Anh attending Asia - Pacific Week, Berlin 2015

With respect to the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Deputy Minister H.E Tran Tuan Anh accompanied by Delegation of Industry and Trade Ministry participate

Attendees included Germany Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E Maria Bohmer, Economic Minister of Berlin State H.E Cornelia Yzer, Vice President of Beijing Committee, Vietnam Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade H.E Tran Tuan Anh and a number of high-profile officials and business representatives from Germany and Asia-Pacific countries.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Tuan Anh delivered a speech on prospects of ecomomic cooperation between Germany and the Asia-Pacific region in general and Vietnam particularly. The Deputy Minister emphasized on the importance of Asia-Pacific businesses, especially Vietnamese enterprises operating in Germany. By complying laws and proactively participating in activities of local authorities, Asian enterprises, including Vietnamese ones have severed as important bridges for cooperation development between Germany and Asia-Pacific countries.

Due to foreign policy-axis rotation of many coutries to the Asia-Pacific region in recent years, this region has increasingly become an motivative elements for the global growth and union. Vietnam always expects Germany as an important investor in the Asia- Pacific region to further promote the leading role in consolidating and developing the Asia-Pacific - EU relationship in general and Vietnam - Germany in particular. Themed "Smart Cities", the Asia-Pacific Week is believed to create new cooperation opportunities between Germany and Asia-Pacific countries, including Vietnam.
