Vietnam for the problem of climate change and energy

With the results achieved in recent years, Vietnam has received high praise by the international community in efforts to find solutions to the problem of energy security and climate change. With the role of energy management, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been hosted by the Government the Asean ministers energy meeting of the 28th , in Da Lat from 9 to 22/08/2010. This is meeting that is considered very successful, has gave a common voice among countries in the region and some other economies (Russia, USA, China, India, Japan, South Korea) about the connection, cooperation and mutual development in ASEAN and partner countries to effectively use and conservation of energy, coal and clean coal technology, renewable energy, civilian nuclear energy, transmission of electricity system in Asean, provides natural gas in Asean in the context of dealing with climate change. 

Acutely aware of this problem, since the Decision No. 158/2008/QD -TTg on 02/02/2008 by the Prime Minister approving The national target program on coping with climate change is issued, ministries, sectors and localities across the country have been positive, proactive review, research, impact assessment and construction of the proposed solutions to cope with climate change and are detailed in the action plans of each ministry, sector. 

Implementation of Decision No. 158/2008/QD - TTg on 08/03/2010, Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade signed Decision No. 4103/QD -BCT issue Action plan to cope with climate change of Ministry of Industry and Trade. In particular, the energy development strategic, energy security in the context of climate change was put into a large content in the action plan./.
