Nhà máy sẽ được xây dựng trên diện tích 8 ha, đi vào hoạt động trong tháng 9/2015, với sản lượng xuất khẩu khoảng 12 triệu sơ mi nam, nữ/năm và tạo việc làm ổn định cho 3.500 lao động, với thu nhập bình quân khoảng 5,7 triệu đồng/người/tháng.
Đây là cơ sở sản xuất thứ hai của TAL tại Việt Nam sau nhà máy Dệt may Việt Mỹ (TAV Limited), được đặt tại khu công nghiệp Phúc Khánh (Thái Bình), với tổng vốn đầu tư 40 triệu USD.
Là một tập đoàn dệt may lớn của Hongkong, TAL xuất khẩu tới 90% sản phẩm sang thị trường Mỹ, với các thương hiệu như Burberry, Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic, Tommy Hilfiger…
Việc TAL quyết định mở rộng đầu tư tại Việt Nam được cho là để đón đầu cơ hội khi Việt Nam gia nhập Hiệp định Đối tác xuyên Thái Bình Dương (TPP).
