Từ khi chính thức vận hành VNACCS/VCIS (từ 1/4/2014), đến nay, hệ thống đã được vận hành ổn định, đảm bảo chất lượng, không gây xáo trộn hay làm gián đoạn quá trình làm thủ tục hải quan của DN. Đồng thời rút ngắn thời gian thông quan (thời gian xử lý thông quan trung bình đối với hàng luồng xanh của hệ thống không quá 3 giây).

Việc triển khai Hệ thống VNACCS/VCIS không chỉ thay đổi về mặt công nghệ mà còn thay đổi về mặt quy trình thủ tục, thói quen và cách thức làm thủ tục hải quan của cả cán bộ, công chức hải quan và DN, giảm được việc phụ thuộc vào văn bản, giấy tờ như hiện nay bởi các hệ thống văn bản đã được mã hóa, cập nhật vào hệ thống.
