Dự án có quy mô xây dựng trên diện tích 12 ha (khu công nghiệp Việt Hương 2); được triển khai
theo 3 giai đoạn với công suất tương ứng 36 triệu, 72 triệu và 96 triệu mét vải/năm
Dự kiến đến cuối năm 2015, giai đoạn 1 của nhà máy sẽ hoàn thành và đi vào hoạt động; góp phần tạo việc làm cho 3.000 lao động và hằng năm xuất khẩu khoảng 300 triệu USD.
Tại lễ khởi công, sáng 6/1, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Bình Dương Lê Thanh Cung đánh giá đây là dự án thuộc lĩnh vực ngành công nghiệp phụ trợ có quy mô lớn, sử dụng công nghệ hiện đại và phù hợp với định hướng thu hút đầu tư của địa phương.
Tỉnh Bình Dương cũng đã quy hoạch khu công nghiệp Bàu Bàng với diện tích khoảng 300 ha chuyên thu hút các dự án công nghiệp hỗ trợ cho ngành dệt may, da giày.
