Các mặt hàng xuất khẩu chủ yếu của Việt Nam sang Ấn Độ gồm điện thoại và linh kiện (đạt gần 617 triệu USD); máy móc, thiết bị, dụng cụ, phụ tùng (đạt gần 174 triệu USD); máy vi tính, sản phẩm điện tử và linh kiện (đạt gần 116 triệu USD); cao su (đạt trên 108 triệu USD…).
Các mặt hàng Việt Nam nhập khẩu chủ yếu từ Ấn Độ gồm hàng thủy sản gần 280 triệu USD; máy móc, thiết bị, dụng cụ, phụ tùng đạt hơn 238 triệu USD; bông các loại 232 triệu USD; dược phẩm gần 200 triệu USD…
Năm 2013, tổng giá trị kim ngạch XNK giữa Việt Nam với Ấn Độ đạt 5,234 tỷ USD, trong đó, Việt Nam xuất khẩu đạt 2,353 tỷ USD; nhập khẩu đạt 2,881 tỷ USD.
