Kể từ đầu năm đến ngày 15/7, xuất khẩu tôm đạt 1,957 tỷ USD, tăng
59,2% so với cùng kỳ trước.
Theo số liệu Tổng cục Hải quan Việt Nam, nửa đầu tháng 7 xuất
khẩu tôm sang các thị trường đạt 166,1 triệu USD, tăng 31,4% so với nửa đầu tháng 7/2013. Có khả
năng khi "khóa sổ" tháng 7, xuất khẩu tôm sẽ vượt mức 2 tỷ USD.
Trong đó, xuất khẩu tôm chân trắng chiếm 59,5% tổng giá trị xuất khẩu tôm đạt 1,165 tỷ USD, tôm sú
đạt gần 660 triệu USD. Giá trị xuất khẩu tôm chủ yếu vẫn đến từ tôm sống/tươi/đông lạnh; tôm chế
biến (tôm sú và tôm chân trắng) đóng góp khoảng 580 triệu USD.
Mỹ, Nhật Bản, EU là 3 thị trường lớn nhất của tôm Việt Nam, trong đó Nhật Bản là thị trường lớn
nhất của tôm sú. Tuy nhiên, trong gần 7 tháng đầu năm 2014, thị trường Hà Lan, Hàn Quốc, Mỹ là 3
thị trường có tốc độ tăng trưởng mạnh nhất (100-298%) so với cùng kỳ năm trước.
